This year alone, over 700 businesses across Michigan received a total of $42.7 million in grants.
The average cost to train an employee through this program is only $1,412, making it an incredibly cost-effective solution for businesses seeking to invest in human capital. Oakland County’s Recent Success with the Going PRO Talent Fund
Oakland County employers, including Merlo Construction, have collectively received $4.5 million in grants through the 2025 cycle of the Going PRO Talent Fund. These funds will be used to train more than 2,400 workers, with 2,006 current employees and 434 new hires set to benefit. Additionally, 73 new apprenticeships will be created, and 282 existing apprentices will receive advanced training. This robust training initiative demonstrates the importance of public-private partnerships in fostering economic growth and preparing the workforce for future challenges.
